One of my favorite family meals that we do about once a week is "build your own tacos". Very informal, easy family meal that doesn't require a lot of energy. Tonight we had grilled chicken breast (other nights it might be seasoned ground beef or pork) and all the toppings for kids to build their own. If you want to help those picky eaters, let them do a lot of the work themselves. Serve all your dinner's family style, let them put on their own toppings and pile it up! This is one of my favorites and by far one of theirs. They are also in charge of guacamole making, which I'm good at turning over to them! They learn some fine motor skills as they scoop out the avocado and smash it up. Then they dive into it! Once a week, make taco dinner a meal at your house!
